How to install VDM UCANDAS Software and Driver

1. VDM UCANDAS Software Installation

Installation of VDM UCANDAS software is very easy. Just copy the files in the CD to the computer and run the software. The CD does not support direct running, so you have to paste it in your local disk. The software can run on WINDOWS XP SP3, WIN7 and WIN8 system.

For easier operation, you can create a shortcut of UCANDAS.EXE on the desktop. First right click the software, select Send To and then Desktop. Double click the software on the desktop to run it. The software will then install automatically.

2. VDM UCANDAS driver installation

First find the [VDM DRIVER for Windows] file in the CD, and select an installing file that fits your operating system. Please refer to the picture below:

Then run the setup file, and follow the instructions to finish the USB driver installation. You can refer to the picture below.

I want to have one VDM UCANDAS for most worldwide famous car models, no need cover truck models. I only want to do basic OBD diagnosing, not programming anything.

I saw VDM UCANDAS advertised as better than autocom, it claims one-year free update at official website, and works with newest cars up to 2014.

I spent about 280USD, got one, it arrived this week, it came with main unit with OBDII cable, software driver and USB cable, package is very simple compared with Launch X431 and Autel scanner which packed with many adapters.

I installed VDM UCANDAS on Win7 successfully (uobd2.net claims Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8. No WP8/Win8 RT support), easy to install, no need to activate. WIFI connection and Bluetooth supported.

I have not much trouble with VDM UCANDAS Language; it comes with English as default. Users are allowed to add two more language as will by sending machine serial number to the supplier.
